As of September 2022, Ray Turner, Sai Priya Sivalohan and Emma Hungerford Espino ceased all connection and have no association with Turner Coulson Immigration Lawyers.
We now practise exclusively as Ray Turner Immigration Lawyers.

Early in 2020, Ray met with a woman who had just been refused a Protection Visa by the Department of Home Affairs and had a complex relationship with an Australian. She sat in out meeting room, telling us she felt close to giving up all hope for a life of safety in Australia with her children, including an Australian citizen child. She was constantly worried and afraid.
Ray told her to let us do the worrying, and that we believed her, and that we would fight for her. Ray told her we will fight for her until she tells us to stop.
She didn't tell us to stop. And, so, in late 2025 - a grant of permanent residency visas to our client and her non-Australian children was made. The family were finally safe and together without fear of separation.
In the five years we represented and advocated for our client, we were always actively working toward our strategy.
Our client and her elder children had suffered significant abuse in their home country and feared returning. Like many people who have suffered abuse and trauma, our client needed our legal expertise of complex matters because it is such a privilege to be entrusted with the fight against the Administrative Review Tribunal, and Department of Home Affairs for our client's family to remain together in Australia.
As a small firm, we know all our clients, so she did not have to keep retelling her story. We didn't need to be reminded of who she was when she calls us.
Immigration law changes constantly so we are always alert to what is being decided in the courts, tribunals, and parliaments. In this matter, over those 5 years of work we changed processes and strategies multiple times due to changes to law, interpretation of law and changes in family circumstances - because we know the law and we know our clients we can be proactive as well as responding to the dynamics of real life.

Partner Visa: Navigating Complex Relationships with Expert Help
