Do I need a lawyer to represent me in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT)?

I have often heard client’s say, “I didn’t get a lawyer to represent me in the AAT as I thought it was more important to have a lawyer to represent me in Court”.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Our primary aim is always to win in the AAT, not the Court.

The AAT often grapples with questions of law and statutory interpretation.

An application to the AAT can often be won on the basis of properly prepared cases including evidence and submissions.

Even if we have to go to Court, our success in Court can often be determined by the evidence and submissions made to the AAT.

We give our clients the greatest chance possible of having their visas granted.
